April 21 is my birthday. I will be one year old. I walk now, and I talk--I say Mom, Daddy, Ma'ama (Grandma Welch...learned from Brooke), Elmo (of course),

grass, trees, ah-oh, Jacey, cute (a synonym for Jacey), no, and a lot of other words--and a lot of words my parents don't understand yet.

I fake cough and fake sneeze--usually when I'm copying someone. I really like string cheese, spaghetti, beans, and instant breakfast.

I am a singer and a dancer, too. I have 9 teeth! Maybe more--my parents don't dare put their fingers in my mouth any more.

Below are pictures of our trip to Italy.

Left: Doesn't it look like a postcard picture? Venice is very photogenic, and this is an everyday picture.

Right: Not much to say here...we carried backpacks around Italy.

Our favorite spot in Italy: We would sit and watch the boats, the people, and eat foccaccia in the morning.

The day we were to leave Venice, the trains all went on strike, so we spent the night in the train station,

because all the hotels were full. We also had a run in with a drunk and the police...

This is not exactly the update I had in mind, but it was all I had time to do. Emails will
